Whether you are managing connections have worked for years or just beginning, it is safe to say that the leaders of the club are always busy looking for simple practical ways to handle the needs of members and staff with career and balance their family and personal life busy.
In today's electronic age, it may seem that these suggestions are outdated, but practical tools to stay organized are never out of fashion, especially if you do not have aInternet connection, there is no time to restart your laptop, or you have your other iPad briefcase. Given the unpredictable, the government is going to make a profit to the following five practical tips for managing their local branch to integrate the regional or national association.
TIP # 1: Create a three-ring "bible", so you always know the decision,
This Bible is a collection of critical business information. It is designed to save time, getwell, and keep organized. There is also an excellent tool for backup in case of a computer down or loss of or damage to portable devices, PDAs or other electronic devices.
To create the Bible, you need an attractive binder to wear comfortable three meetings and conferences, which can meet your needs. Consider a one or one-and-a-half-inch three-ring organizer with handles.
Next, I need a wider set of dividers with eight boards, and preferably those thatClear sheet protectors. These allow the use of front and back of divider, a good reference document for quick access.
Finally, label the tabs and pick up the documents with the following list of starters idea. Based on the needs of your company, considering that the documents listed in the first and second transparent cover register.

Tip # 2: Set aside a small amount of time at the beginning or end of each weekRefresh the contents of your Bible.
Council Member, Committee member, membership information and changes occur regularly, as well as calendars, financial information and project. The White Board Association victory that keeps the flow of information vital to the success of the company.
Tip # 3: Use checklists to simplify your tasks so you do not think so
One of the great things about the job of managing the association is the diversity in the work of the Executive DirectorDescription. As a small company, the managing director responsible for everything from production to event planning, marketing and advertising, newsletters, and profit and loss. The variety includes some repetitive tasks, such as obtained, for example, compilation of information about your body of volunteers and the general membership on a monthly or quarterly meetings and preparation of monthly / quarterly and events, but often is the diversity in the routine as well.
AStreamlining of routine tasks and preparations that affect them is the creation of a checklist. Example A at the end of this article illustrated articles included in my monthly board meeting packets. Once this checklist in place to save me if I remembered in the financial report is complete in May, members of the Committee to obtain the report, if the current number of sponsors for the next month, the largest golf fundraisers, or if I was in the directory to submit to this Request for ProposalMonthly meeting or the next.
Checklists are useful tools when you update the information of the club on the Internet, especially if you have entries in several places.
B as the end of this article uses the same concept checklist for a packing list for the meeting of the board, which saves not only intelligence, but also precious time to create.
Tip # 4: Save on Pre-Pack Box-time Monthly Meeting
Every time you perform a Board of Directors or general meeting or event, Iuseful to have two pre-packed boxes with me. One is a race, the other an "event of encounter." My warehouse is essentially a portable field office. It includes tape, scissors, ruler, stapler, staple removal, Post-it ® Notes, correction tape, erasers, highlighters, paper clips and rubber bands. My meeting the service includes a case, Roberts Rules of order, a dictionary, thesaurus, calculator, camera, empty table tents, badge, badge holder, acrylic sign holder, and all thatwhich may be necessary in case of last minute changes for the participants to think or meet the requirements. See Example C at the end of this article for a starter idea.
Tip # 5: pre-meeting and event file, the details and ideas to great expectations, so they are not lost or forgotten
Most associations hold monthly or quarterly board meetings and general membership meetings and training seminars, courses, guidelines, golf tournaments, dinners, awards and charity events. And howa manager of the club to keep busy the myriad of details right, especially if you do not use staff or volunteers? What do you mean by an idea that you will receive in the month of February for an event in November to do?
My solution is to file folders and a pen Sharpie ®. Old school, yes, but very effective.
At the beginning of each year, I simply hold a folder for each upcoming event and meeting and left, center and right so you can clearly see the cards. I use Sharpie ® pen for writingdirectly to the cards, such as labels and labeling tapes tend to fall over time. You can choose different color folders for each type of event. The folders are then arranged in chronological order, and was easily accessible, so they are always at hand.
Each folder contains a checklist before meeting checklist and packaging. During the year, I have now set a certain location for information, e-mails and ideas with respect to any event. This system not only keepsmy desk too confusing, but it also makes it easier to design.
I've always held my accounts of the club in this way so that in case of emergency, another Association Council in my step and know exactly where everything is and what to do. Even more important, so the service would be terminated on my members … the valued clients of my account of the club. I apply this system for every new customer that is logical and easy to follow. Tools like the Bible,Monthly checklists, pre-packaged boxes and pre-assembly files are the heart of the team a lot, and not only save time and keep you organized, but to offer newcomers a simple look at how your activities. More over, if implemented, will give these tools will give you the chance to shine.
