While there is some truth that is not extinct as a profession that many might think. The ABAN (Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America) since the early seventies and has over 4,000 paying members. Part of the attraction, I think, always a blacksmith, is part of a tradition that for generations have disappeared. Thus, it is inevitable that the collection and purchase of antique and vintage instruments would be part of the wholeBlacksmithing concert. While many blacksmiths make their own tools, it makes sense to expand your creations with those of others. Not only give you an idea of the different way of doing things, it gives you and your business connect with the past. The possibility of useful tools for your own craft projects is a pleasant sensation, but that is in your hands, an instrument made by another artisan who created a similar, or perhaps not much different when the project wasYou're currently working. |
