If you are in the middle of a jungle or surrounded by a dense tangled undergrowth, your best friend is surely the magnificent machete. There is another tool that can compare. So what to look for when it's time to get one?

Well, if it's time to choose is a machete, there are some features that should never be necessary. Really. It was not easy. It should be shiny and bright. Please, no. Machete, qualities that are generally notmaintain a very sharp edge. This makes them very inefficient. The same machete is not very long, either. The thin blade could break only two on your first hard work. A Shattered Blade flying uncontrollably through the air is entirely possible. Believe it.

The machete best are those that are made of steel with carbon fiber blades at high speed with spring. This sturdy composition allows for some flexibility of the wing with very little fear of breaking in two. You canimmediately identified by the burnished blade. Otherwise, there are usually several other black anti-rust finish cooking. The best handles are high impact shatterproof polymer handles, usually black. Steel rivets are ideal for the performance of the handles in place.

As with a sharp knife, machete sharp, and even if its not, should always be a difficult case. Only brandishing a machete to fall, or even tap into the swingAccidentally step on the floor could really cause a terrible accident. Not even the question of necessity. Without a coat, it is best left at home.

Here are a couple of "don'ts" for the choice of a case. Vinyl-like fabric covers are easy to find, but are not recommended. This very large, very dangerous blade should be much more severe form of protection. There are some wooden sheath in place, but not very practical, especially in the field. You could split or breakand would have left that brandishing a machete.

While some machetes come with very nice leather coats, this type of case is not recommended for a working visit machete. Especially not when you go to save it. It is proposed that they are used only for the show. Leather absorbs moisture and allows the production of tannin. The tannic acid facilitates the formation of rust. This problem, which is quite inevitable. You do not really want to go.

Best Machete sheathsare very difficult, very thick, flexible plastic, they can completely cover the blade from the tip. Military surplus stores are the best places to find them even if they are among the many other shops. They are not as common as leather coats, but are much more functional. My favorite is the one with a metal swivel belt clip and a built-in sharpener. The classic sheath machete military. Very nice.

Some new models have features that are quite Macheteimpressive. These features improve the functionality of the machete. Some have a prominent sawtooth edge on the back of the leaf, sometimes even a saw back. Less high, sometimes covering almost the entire length of the spine. It 'awesome. It is a machete with a saw fully functional. Really nice, especially for extremely gummy or hard wood. No need to waste vital energy cut repeatedly.

Another feature is the addition of better long-running channels in the longitudinal directionthe flat blade. These grooves allow for better removal of wood and lush vegetation of similar consistency. Lanyard holes are not a requirement of machete attacks, but they are definitely nice to have. It helps for temporary storage on the fast.

There are many kinds and types of machetes in the market today. You could be a Bowie Machete, a Bolo machete, one or two hands a double-edged machete, just to name a few. Machete These range in price from just over five dollars less thanhundred dollars (sheath and sharpening stone included). Even the best machete can be found in less than thirty dollars. Just be sure that the best features possible and do not have the features that only serve to weaken.

A good quality machete was a very valuable tool for the right circumstance. E 'extremely versatile and efficient. Any person who often finds himself on the field is strongly recommended that at least have one in their collection of instruments. It isnothing like the magnificent machete.
